IIT Patna: 13 December 2024 :: Minister for Industries, Nitish Mishra, flagged off the first international consignment of Amossys Portable Power LLP from its manufacturing base at Incubation Centre IIT Patna on 12 Dec 2024. The consignment contain Ligen Portable Invertors destined for Lagos, Nigeria.
Amossys Portable Power LLP is a joint venture between Portable Power Technologies Pvt Ltd, a startup supported by Incubation Centre IIT Patna and Government of Bihar, and Amossys Energy Pvt Ltd, a new initiative from Amossys group headquartered in Bangalore.
Prof A K Thakur, Dean Academics, Dr Sudhir Kumar, Professor in charge of Incubation Centre IIT Patna and Jayant Shandilya and Abhijeet Kumar, directors of Amossys Portable Power were present during the ceremony.
The company makes innovative portable power solutions under the brand name Ligen Power for wide ranging applications such as UPS, home invertors, solar battery packs, Electric vehicle battery packs etc using its patented battery technologies developed at IIT Patna.
The company developed its products under the incubation support of Incubation Centre IIT Patna, which is a joint effort of Govt of Bihar and Ministry of Electronics and IT, govt of India to promote such innovative startups.
Addressing the gathering, Nitish Mishra said “The perception about Bihar with respect to its business environment, innovation potential and startup culture is rapidly changing due to dedicated efforts from the department of Industries and other stakeholders such as IIT Patna. I wish the best for the startups supported by IIT Patna, particularly Amossys Portable Power that is now scaling up its operations to international level from Bihar.”
