Patna : 22 September 2022 :: An ATAL-FDP program on ‘Novel Materials for Sustainable Development’ was organized in the Department of Physics, IIT Patna during September 10 -22, 2022. College teachers from across the countries participated in this and benefited from the activities. There were talks by eminent speakers from across the country as well as by experts from within IIT Patna with an emphasis on materials for sustainable development.
The talks emphasized on the need for novel materials in the areas of energy, environment and future technologies to enable a sustainable growth without having negative impacts on earth and the ecosystems.
Among the speakers were Prof. R. K. Kotnala (NSAID), Prof. P. K. Roy (IIT- BHU), Prof. U. K. Gautam (IISER Mohali), Prof. A. K. Kushwaha (IIT Indore). From IIT Patna, the speaker list included Prof. A. K. Thakur, Dr. M. Kar, Dr. A. Keshri, Dr. Ajay D. Thakur, Dr. S. Kumar, Dr. S. J. Ray, and Dr. R. Laha. A number of laboratory demonstration sessions were also organized during the event. Dr. Ajay D. Thakur and Dr. M. Kar were the coordinators for this Faculty Development program which was funded by AICTE training and learning academy.
This event was organized under the aegis of the Continuing Education Program Cell of IIT Patna.
