Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, Minister, Department of Industries, Government of Bihar inaugurated the Craft Bazaar at NIFT Patna on 29th October 2021 at 11 AM. Respected Minister visited all the 20 stalls of Handloom and Handicrafts exhibited by the Artisans from different Craft Cluster of Bihar and 12 Stalls by the students of NIFT Patna. He appreciated and motivated all the Artisans and students for their Art and craft. He interacted individually with all the artisans and students and tried to understand the importance of each and every craft available at the different stalls. He appreciated the rich heritage of Craft tradition of our state Bihar.
He was highly appreciative of the extensive work being done by NIFT in the area of design and management education as well as upliftment of the craft sector. The Minister emphasized on the importance of upholding the good name and reputation of Bihar and Biharis and expressed pleasure at the fact the NIFT community is effectively doing so. He expressed dismay at way some members of the society are trying to cast Bihar and Biharis in bad light. He appealed to all the student fraternity to work towards refurbishing the image of the state. He suggested the students to use the social media to promote our state at the different platforms. He was very happy and satisfied by the performance and aura of the institution, NIFT Patna. The minister assured the NIFT Patna establishment of the expeditious completion of the in-campus Auditorium building which is pending for a long time now. He expressed his good wishes for future.
