As one wisely said ‘’If you educate a boy you educate an individual if you educate a girl you educate a community’’
There are currently 31 million girls of primary school age that are not in school. In rural areas girls are married before the age of 15.There are 774 million literate people in the world and two third are female.
For many these are just numbers on page but for 31 million girls it’s a harsh reality.
Today we have the resources and ability to eradicate these realities once and for all but we allow them to continue.
Society has worked for the improvement of girl’s education. Government has launched various schemes for their education like Sukanya Samriddhi Yojna.Mukhyamantri Laadli Yojna etc.
The television which is a source of education is also playing a major role to encourage women education. Daily soaps like Krishna Chali London inculcate the thought of educating a girl child.
Talking about today’s scenario there’s hardly any work that men can do and women cant.Women are doing tremendous work in all the sectors.
If all women had secondary education millions of children would be saved from stunted growth and malnutrition. It’s easy to see how lack of education has ripple effect across societies. Girls education not only provides knowledge it gives them power which benefits them in long run.
For many women who are in unsafe and unhappy marriage leaving is not an option as they have no skills and education to allow them to find work and provide income for themselves. This can be avoided if girls are educated.
Many of us take our education for granted. We don’t appreciate what it affords us. But imagine if you weren’t lucky enough to receive an education where would you be? Receiving education empowers girls to take control of their lives families and future.
Girls with dreams become Women with vision-Lets create a world where the vision runs wild and free.
