IIT Patna: 8 March 2025 :: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Centre For Career Development and Counselling(CCDC), IIT Patna organized an insightful virtual panel discussion, where distinguished speakers shared their inspiring journeys and powerful messages for women in Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
During the discussion, the esteemed panelists emphasized the importance of forward -thinking and perseverance in the pursuit of goals. They encouraged attendees to remain specific, data-driven, and fearless, highlighting that challenges in life are inevitable, but with the right mindset, success is always within reach.
The panel featured proud IIT Patna alumnae, including Aradhana Kumari, Staff Engineer at STMicroelectronics (France), Puja Choudhary, Senior Software Engineer at HSBC, Arundhati Gupta, Software Engineer at Uber, Anushka Chakraborty, Analyst at Accenture Japan, and Dikshita Reddy, Product Consultant at Sprinklr.
The program coordinator, Kripa Shankar Singh, TPO, IIT Patna, mentioned that this year’s theme for the virtual panel discussion was “Redefining the Future: Women Pioneering Change in STEM.” The panelists shared their journeys from campus life to their corporate careers, offering valuable insights into overcoming challenges and achieving success. They emphasized the importance of adopting a “never give up” attitude and encouraged the audience to be initiators rather than followers in whatever opportunity they get.
The discussion also highlighted the growing opportunities for women in STEM fields, where many women are now excelling and outperforming men in various domains. In today’s era, there are many opportunities available for women to explore and build their careers.
The event was moderated by Anushri Tiwari, with a vote of thanks delivered by Shubhashini Shekhar. Dr. Ashwini Asaam, PIC, TNP, and Dr. N. K. Tomar, Associate Dean, Resource, IIT Patna, expressed their delight at the successful event and extended their best wishes to all the panelists.
The panel discussion was an inspiring and empowering session for all those present, urging them to boldly pursue their dreams and redefine the future.
