XIM Bhubaneswar, on 16th February 2025, hosted the On Campus finale of Hult Prize 2025 with NHRD Bhubaneswar Chapter as the HR partner. Hult Prize, the world’s largest social
entrepreneurship competition, enables students all over the globe to become changemakers by
creating high -impact startups. The participants align their ideas with the United Nations
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). After multiple rounds of rigorous evaluations, the
finalists pitch their ventures to a panel of global experts and stand a chance to win $1 million to
bring their ideas to life.
This edition featured a panel of experts from the industry, including Shashanka Choudhury
(Ex- CTO, Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA)), Lagna Panda (CHRO, CSM
Technologies) and Amlan Sahoo (Delivery Manager, Infosys).
The event started with an exciting launch video that set the stage for the innovative pitches
ahead. Each team was allotted 6 minutes to present, followed by a 4- minute question and
answer session with the judges.
The ideas presented by our bright students addressed various key issues gripping the
world. This included constructing special wells to address water scarcity, an app to optimize
blood requirements for patients, food preservation to reduce wastage, affordable adaptive Fashion for people with special needs, reducing plastic waste, and much more. After each presentation, the judges further probed the presenters on different aspects of their pitch to gain a better understanding of the impact and feasibility of their ideas.
Towards the end of the engaging event, the judges gave their well -considered feedback & announced the three winning teams. The organizing committee then presented the judges with the mementos. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the Campus Director of Hult Prize XIM.
