IIT Patna: 19 December 2024 :: The Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT Patna) is proud to announce that it will host the highly anticipated Inter -IIT Cultural Meet 7.0 for the first time, from December 26 to 29, 2024. This prestigious event will bring together over 3,850 students from all 23 IITs across India to showcase their artistic prowess and cultural talents in a series of vibrant and exhilarating events.
The Inter- IIT Cultural Meet is a celebrated annual gathering where students from India’s top engineering institutes unite to celebrate the diverse cultural landscape of the country. According to Kripa Shankar Singh, Information Officer at IIT Patna, this year’s meet will provide a platform for participants to exhibit their talents in multiple creative fields. The 7.0 edition, hosted by IIT Patna, promises to be a one- of- a -kind experience, featuring 47 events across a wide spectrum of cultural expressions, including group dances, stage plays, fashion shows, battle of the bands, stand- up comedy, and more.
The event will see participants from IITs including IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Roorkee, IIT Ropar, IIT Bhubaneswar, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Indore, IIT Mandi, IIT (BHU) Varanasi, IIT Palakkad, IIT Tirupati, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, IIT Bhilai, IIT Dharwad, IIT Jammu, IIT Goa, and IIT Patna, competing in diverse cultural categories.
To ensure the success of this landmark event, IIT Patna has set up a dedicated organizing committee. A meeting was held under the leadership of Professor T.N. Singh, Director of IIT Patna, to accelerate preparations for hosting the 7.0 Inter IIT Cult Meet at IIT Patna. The meeting was attended by Mr. Aedin SA, Dr. P.K. Tiwari, PIC Culture, Dr. Sunil Kumar Singh, President of Gymkhana, Dr. Udit Raj, Secretary Student Affairs, and Mr. Ankit Kumar.
Prof. T.N. Singh expressed his enthusiasm for hosting the event, saying, “It is a matter of great pride for IIT Patna to host the Inter-IIT Cultural Meet 7.0. We are excited to welcome students from all IITs and are committed to making this an unforgettable experience. Our entire team is working tirelessly to ensure the event is a resounding success”.
