The Fazalganj Stadium was packed with people from Rohtas and other districts of Bihar, all eager to join the mission of transforming Bihar. Everywhere, people were eagerly welcoming him with band music and floral garlands. People were seen excitedly trying to catch a glimpse of their beloved IPS officer, from the city to the stadium. The entire city was plastered with Let’s Inspire Bihar and Vikas Vaibhav’s posters.

It is worth noting that the Let’s Inspire Bihar campaign, dedicated to the construction of Bihar’s bright future, was initiated on March 22, 2021, by Vikas Vaibhav, a well-known IPS officer of Bihar. The goal is to create a developed Bihar by 2047, where no one would need to leave the state in search of education, employment, or healthcare. Rooted in the principles of education, equality, and entrepreneurship, the campaign envisions rising above narrow divisions like caste, religion, and gender, and contributing to the nation’s development.

So far, over 150,000 people (150,000+) have voluntarily joined this campaign and are striving to contribute positively. Different chapters have been established across all districts of Bihar as well as in major cities across India and abroad.

The campaign aims to spark a widespread entrepreneurial revolution in Bihar to generate more local employment opportunities. A key objective is to create a comprehensive ecosystem that connects every segment of society to make every Bihari educated and skilled. This will support youth who want to pursue self-employment, start-ups, and entrepreneurship, offering them necessary support and guidance. By 2028, the goal is to establish at least five successful start-ups in every district of Bihar, capable of providing employment to more than 100 individuals. A Startup Summit was held in Patna on August 25, 2024, and another Bihar @ 2047 Vision Conclave (Season 2) will take place on December 22, 2024, at the Bharat Mandapam in Delhi.

The movement began large public dialogues starting from Begusarai on December 10, 2023, which was attended by over 50,000 people. The second dialogue took place on January 21, 2024, in Ara, and today’s event in Sasaram is the third such dialogue. The upcoming events include the fourth dialogue in Chhapra (Saran) on December 8, 2024, and the fifth in Hajipur (Vaishali) on February 9, 2025.

So far, over 1,600 events have been held in districts across Bihar, major cities in India, and abroad. More than 10,000 successful entrepreneurs are currently contributing to the campaign. The campaign has hosted numerous startup summits and vibrant Bihar Global Conclaves in Patna in 2022 and 2023. Bihar Entrepreneurship Summits were also successfully organized in Delhi in 2021 and 2023. Programs have been conducted in cities like Dubai, Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Vadodara to connect entrepreneurs with the campaign. Over 35,000 underserved individuals have benefited from more than 250 free health camps organized by the Jeevak chapter, established by doctors. Additionally, the Gargi chapter, run by women, has set up 18 free education centers for underprivileged students in eight districts of Bihar and is also working towards women’s self-employment through skill development centers.

In today’s third Grand Public Dialogue in Sasaram, Vikas Vaibhav was present as the Chief Guest, along with several distinguished guests, including Gopal Narayan Singh University’s Vice-Chancellor, Gopal Narayan Singh, National President of Private Schools and Children Welfare Association, Syed Shamael Ahmad, prominent industrialist from the Gujarat chapter, Nishikant Sinha, Dr. SP Verma, Director of St. Paul’s School Sasaram, former Minister Dadan Yadav (Pahalwan), Gopal Narayan Singh University’s Secretary Govind Narayan Singh, among others.

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Senior IPS officer Vikas Vaibhav stated that the overwhelming attendance at the event, rising above the boundaries of caste and community, is a positive sign that Bihar belongs not only to those who want to see it fragmented along caste and communal lines but also to those who dream of taking Bihar back to its historical greatness. He emphasized that Bihar’s progress will not be possible unless we rise above narrow divisions such as caste, community, and gender and contribute to the welfare of society. He encouraged the people to remember that Bihar has always been a land of enterprise, and even in ancient times, the economic principles of Kautilya’s Arthashastra came from here. Bihar once had thriving trade relations with Vietnam even before modern transportation and technology. He urged that if we rise above narrow thinking, Bihar will certainly return to its historical excellence. He shared his own experience in Rohtas, explaining that real change in the district began when they took inspiration from the region’s rich cultural heritage and historical figures.

It is important to note that Vikas Vaibhav was previously the Superintendent of Police in Rohtas, where, during his tenure, he led a major campaign against Naxalites with the help of the local community, clearing the district of Naxal forces. The historically significant Rohtasgarh Fort, once considered a Naxal stronghold, is where Vikas Vaibhav hoisted the Indian flag for the first time after independence, an event that was previously unimaginable as the area was deemed too dangerous even for tourists. For this reason, the people of Rohtas continue to hold him in high regard.

Syed Shamael Ahmad, National President of the Private Schools and Children Welfare Association, addressed the gathering and praised Vikas Vaibhav’s noble cause, urging society to stand with him. Nishikant Sinha, a prominent industrialist from the Gujarat chapter, emphasized that Bihar’s development is impossible without entrepreneurship and urged everyone to seriously support Vikas Vaibhav’s leadership. Dr. SP Verma, Director of St. Paul’s School Sasaram, emphasized that education, equality, and entrepreneurship are key to Bihar’s transformation.

Govind Narayan Singh, Secretary of Gopal Narayan Singh University, also lauded Vikas Vaibhav’s initiative, saying that this campaign has boundless potential to bring Bihar back to its peak. Alok Ranjan, a renowned law expert and Director of Ambition Law School, Delhi, called on the people to join Let’s Inspire Bihar and support Vikas Vaibhav wholeheartedly to take Bihar forward.

Many other dignitaries, including social workers and prominent figures from various fields, also addressed the gathering, offering their support. The event was conducted by senior journalist Prabhakar Rai.

Yash Upadhyay, Coordinator of the Let’s Inspire Bihar Rohtas Chapter and one of the main organizers, expressed his immense happiness over the success of the dialogue, highlighting that the overwhelming response of more than 50,000 people in the stadium was due to the unwavering dedication of the people of Bihar to Vikas Vaibhav. He said that Bihar looks towards Vikas Vaibhav with great hope and faith.

The enthusiasm in the eyes of the crowd in the stadium was palpable, reflecting their collective vision for Bihar’s future.

Let’s inspire Bihar together!
