Patna: 26 June 2023 :: 2- day Campus Immersion cum Orientation Program for newly admitted students of BSc (Hons.) in Computer Science and Data Analytics (CSDA) and Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) organizes at IIT Patna
IIT Patna organized a 2-day campus immersion cum orientation program for the newly admitted students of 3-year Hybrid Undergraduate degree in BSc (Hons) program Computer Science & Data Analytics (CSDA) and Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) as per NEP 2020 on 24-25 June 2023 at the Senate Hall, IIT Patna.
This two day campus immersion cum orientation program was inaugurated with lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana. The chief guest of the event was Professor TN Singh, Director, Indian Institute of Technology Patna. On this occasion, Academic Dean Professor AK Thakur, Association Dean Resources Dr. Asif Iqbal, Course Coordinator Dr. NK Tomar, HoD Computer Science Professor Rajeev Mishra, Dean Student Affairs Dr. PK Tiwari, HoD Mathematics PK Srivastava, Shri Neeraj Rajhans Director Microtek and faculty, officers and staff of various department of IIT Patna were present.
At the beginning of the program, Associate Dean Resources Dr. Asif Iqbal explained the outline of the program during his welcome speech. After that, the coordinators of these unique hybrid programs, Professor AK Thakur and Dr. NK Tomar, shared detailed information about the academic program with the students. Addressing the students on the occasion, the Director of the Institute, Professor TN Singh, said that “This is the era of possibilities and IIT Patna is constantly striving for the all- round development of the students and this two hybrid programs are of international standard and have been designed as per the demand of rapidly changing dynamics of the industries and this will provide an opportunity to the students to set a new dimension in their professional career.
In the next phase, representatives of the Institute’s Incubation Center, TBI, TIH and representatives of other departments also addressed the students. IIT Patna’s Training Placement Officer Kripa Shankar Singh also explained in detail about the career planning and placement facilities for the students. During this, he also shared the placement and internship journey of IIT Patna with the participants and told that there are immense and better career opportunities for the young generation.
The experts present in the open house gave appropriate answers to the queries of the students, after which detailed information about LMS and website was also shared with the students. The participating students in this campus immersion cum orientation program showed great enthusiasm and were very happy to be on the IIT Patna campus.
