Patna: 15 March 2023 :: Indian Institute of Technology Patna. The Mitex Globelink Research Internship in Canada is recognized as a leading destination for research and innovation. In this programme, graduate students from all over the world apply for research internships. This year 15 pre final (third year – BTech) year students of BTech programme to be graduated in 2024 from IIT Patna have been selected for the prestigious Mitacs Globalink research internship 2023. Mitacs Globalink internships provide students with a unique opportunity to gain valuable international research experience, develop professional skills, and build a global network.

The Mitacs Globalink Research Internship is a competitive initiative for international undergraduates and selected students will do a 12-week research internship between May to October 2023 under the supervision of Canadian university faculty members in a variety of academic disciplines, from science, engineering and mathematics to the humanities and social sciences. The Mitacs Globalink Interns recieve a cumulative stipend ranging from 8955 CAD to 9355 CAD (CAD: Canadian Dollars).
The students selected from IIT Patna will get the opportunity to intern at the top universities of Canada namely, University of British Columbia, University of Alberta, University of Calgary, University of Waterloo, University of Manitoba, Memorial University of Newfoundland, Laval University, Dalhousie University, Western University among others.
Professor T. N. Singh, Director, IIT Patna congratulated all the students on this great success and termed it as a great achievement of the institute.
