Patna: 26th Feb, 2023 :: IIT Patna inaugurates Online Executive M Tech & Executive MBA Programmes under the CEP and QIP With the rapid pace of growth in science and technology and frequent paradigm shifts in policy, governance and management, skill enhancement is a vital need for development. That is why IIT Patna has recently started to collaborate with the best corporate organizations for Executive Degree & Certification Programmes for both short- term & long -term periods under the umbrella of Continuing Education Program (CEP) & Quality Improvement Program (QIP) cell.
CEP- QIP is dedicated to assisting students &working professionals in widening their knowledge base and improving their skills. Moreover, it is meant for providing training in cutting-edge areas to the industry professional of this country to make them globally competitive.
The outreach initiatives CEP-QIP aims to build unique skills, capabilities and knowledge to manage complex challenges, meet operational and strategic needs and enhance competitive advantage.

For the above objectives, IIT Patna signed an MoU with Microtek Educational Society (MES) which has demonstrated strengths in the area of online education. This will be a great opportunity for the prospective candidates who have dreamt to be a part of an IIT educational system & will become alumni of IIT Patna after the completion of their respective courses and 360-degree career development opportunities.
Prof T N Singh, Honorable chief guest and Director IIT Patna and other dignitaries formally inaugurated the Online Executive M Tech & Executive MBA Programmes along with the inaugural class under the centre of CEP & QIP, IIT Patna in collaboration with Microtek Educational Society in the following areas: Executive M Tech in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science Engineering, Executive M Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, Executive M Tech in Mathematics & Computing, Executive MBA with Dual Specializations
The programs will be delivered in two- way video/ audio interactive mode & all the sessions will be delivered from the studio via an Online Platform, students will attend the lectures on their own devices (Laptop/Desktop/Tablet/Mobile), and candidates will have access to a Learning Management System for referring to the content, live online instructor- led sessions by top IIT Patna faculty and senior industry experts. Moreover, lectures will be delivered on weekends. The course curriculum will be delivered through a combination of eLearning resources, digital lectures; community- based digital classrooms as applicable.
The Formal inauguration of IIT Patna Online Post Graduate Certification Programmes under the umbrella of CEP & QIP graced by Prof A K Thakur (Dean of Academics, IIT Patna), Prof. Nalin Bharti (Professor and Course Coordinator, IIT Patna), Dr Natuan K Tomar(HoD- Department of Mathematics, IIT Patna).
On this occasion, inaugural lectures were delivered on AI & DSE by Dr Asif Ekbal (Associate Dean Resources, IIT Patna) and on Computer Science & Engineering by Dr Sriparna Saha (HoD, Computer Science & Engineering, IIT Patna) and an Inaugural lecture for Executive MBA were delivered by Prof. Nalin Bharti.
The Training and Placement Officer, Kripa Shankar Singh shared his insights on placement scenarios and career development.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Pankaj Rajhans, President & Executive Director of Microtek Educational Society he is also an alumnus of IIT Delhi.
