Patna: Dr. Amit Kumar, Associate Professor, Dept. of Chemistry, IIT Patna has been awarded Bronze Medal with citation by the Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI) at the award ceremony held during 2nd – 5th Feb 2023 at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi by the President CRSI Padma Prof. V. K Singh, IIT Kanpur. The Bronze Medal award is given to young researchers who have made significant contributions to research in Chemistry.
Akanksha Singh Baghel, a PhD student of Dr. Amit Kumar in the Department of Chemistry, IIT Patna, has been awarded the best poster award at 30th RSC- CRSI, 2023 conference by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI) during 2nd -5th Feb, 2023 at JNU, New Delhi.

Dr. Amit Kumar, Associate Professor, Dept of Chemistry, IIT Patna has been inducted as a council member in the prestigious Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI) for the year 2023- 2026. The Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI) was established in 1999 as part of the 50th- anniversary celebrations of the country’s independence by Bharat Ratan Prof. C. N. R. Rao. Currently, CRSI represents more than 4000- lifetime members, who participate in the study, practice, teaching and promotion of Chemistry. The main objectives of the CRSI are to recognize, promote and foster talent in Chemistry and Chemical Sciences and to improve the quality of Chemical Education at all levels. The CRSI organizes conferences, seminars, workshops, symposia and other related programs to facilitate and promote research in all branches of Chemistry. The society has active collaboration with the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), London, the American Chemical Society (ACS), Asian Chemical Editorial Society (ACES), the German Chemical Society (GDCh) and the French Chemical Society.
