Patna: 26 November 2022 :: In observance of the Constitution Day, on 26th November, 2022 the Alumni Association of Patna Women’s College organized a programme in Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar and Be For Nation Trust, Patna. Alumni members Dr. Sister M. Saroj A.C., Dr. Madhumita, Dr. Shubhra and Miss Swati Shilpi conducted the programme. The event began with a Nukkad Natak titled ‘Jagarukta Samvidhan Ki’ portraying the importance of the Constitution and urging all to respect and follow the principles enshrined in the Indian Constitution. This was followed by a Quiz Competition for the students of the school based on the Constitution of India and its formation. The event saw an active participation by the students of the school. Constant applauses and cheers kept the participants in high spirit. Finally, the students were led to take a pledge upon the Preamble of the Constitution to abide by its principles and values. Winners of the competition were awarded with prizes. Tabassum Khatoon (9- B), Shyma Ali (9- B), Rahat Parveen (9- B) and Tarana Nigar (9- B) bagged the 1st prize.
The Alumni Association also conducted an awareness campaign in Be for Nation Trust, near Income Tax Golambar, a trust for underprivileged women and children. Dr. Sister M. Saroj A.C. addressed the women and enlightened them about their rights and duties under the constitution. This was followed by a skit on the importance of Constitutional principles and ideals and a pledge upon the Preamble.
The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks by an Alumni of Patna Women’s College.
