Patna: 4th Nov, 2022:: The six- day induction/ orientation program of the newly admitted batch after after clearing one of the toughest exams – JEE Advanced 2022 by Indian Institute of Technology Patna was started on 4th November 2022. On 4th November 2022, the document verification of newly admitted students was done by the faculty advisor of various departments.
The students will further get a glimpse into their campus life in the Orientation cum Induction program, scheduled from 5th November, 2022 to 09th November, 2022 at new central lecture hall complex, IIT Patna. The program will begin with the address of the Hon’ble Director of IIT Patna Professor T N Singh, Dean Academic Professor A K Thakur and other dignitaries from the institute. It will be followed by talks from eminent personalities from various walks of life. Expert talks from Shri Chanchal Kumar Ji, Managing Director of NHIDCL, Mr. Abhayanand, Ex DGP of Bihar and Dr. Hemant Pande (Executive Director, ACM India) are lined up to enlighten the students on various topics like “Engineering Challenges in the country”, “Physic to Police”, and “Computing, ACM and You”, respectively. A few noted alumni of IIT Patna (Dr. Gagandeep Singh and Dr. Amulya Yadav) will join the program and share their experiences to inspire the students to carry on the legacy of the institute.
In addition to these talks, there are sessions aimed to make familiar with institute functionaries, rules and regulations and to create awareness about mental health in the freshmen. Also, the ever engaging student societies, Technical and Cultural clubs of the college will be introduced to these enthusiastic minds. There are interaction sessions arranged by the Student’s Gymkhana to familiarize themselves with their batch mates and seniors. The entire IIT Patna fraternity rolls out a warm welcome to the freshmen and wishes them success in their endeavours.
