Patna: 14 April 2022 :: In this current ongoing placement session of 2021-22, IIT Patna has set a record in the field of placement and this placement session has been the best so far.
In the ongoing campus placement process, Amazon, an American multinational technology company engaged in e- commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming and artificial intelligence, participated in the placement process at IIT Patna in virtual mode to recruit students from 2022 graduating batch.
The students of IIT went through a rigorous recruitment process of Amazon. The selection process of Amazon started in February 2022. Initially company has conducted an online assessment for the registered students of BTech and MTech programmes of different streams followed by three different online technical interviews. The each process was an elimination round. In the final result declared on April 13, 2022, 9 B.Tech students of IIT Patna have been extended full time offers as Software Development Engineer (SDE).
Among the selected students, there are students belonging to Computer Science students, three are from Electrical Engineering students and remaining one is from Civil Engineering domain. The selected students have been offered a pay package of Rs 44.14 lakh by Amazon which includes Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) that will be given to the selected students as per the defined vesting period.
Dr. Jose V Parambeel, in-charge of Training and Placement Cell, IIT Patna said that this is the result of hard work and determination of our students. He further added that Institute’s focus on research and distinctive learnings enable students to keep updated as per the industry needs. IIT Patna is constantly striving to provide better placement opportunities to the graduating students and we determine that by the end of this session the placements of IIT Patna will be outstanding.
