Prayagraj: 12 September 2021:: A Civil Military Liaison Conference (CMLC) for the state of Bihar was held at Danapur Cantonment under the aegis of HQ J&B Sub Area on 11 September 2021. The forum was reinitiated after 2012 due to joint efforts of HQ Jharkhand and Bihar Sub Area and Government of Bihar. The conference was jointly chaired by Lieutenant General S Mohan, Sena Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal, General Officer Commanding, Madhya Bharat Area and Tripurari Sharan, IAS Chief Secretary of Bihar state. The steering committee was headed by Major General Rajpal Punia General Officer Commanding Jharkhand and Bihar Sub Area and Chaitanya Prasad Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Bihar. The forum discussed multifaceted issues pertaining to law and order, Ex Servicemen Welfare, land, infrastructure development and aspects necessitating joint coordination between armed forces and state administration in state of Bihar. The forum also deliberated the agenda in detail and evolved joint coordination mechanism to progress the same in future. In the end a resolution was passed that both the Military and the Civil Administration would jointly steer various development projects in Bihar.
