Dr.  A.P.J Abdul kalam was the 11th president of our country.He was born in Rameshwaram ,” Tamil Nadu ” , on 15th october, 1931.Dr. Abul Pakir Jainulabadin Abdul Kalam was popularly known as Dr. A.P.J Abdul kalam. His Birthday is celebrated as the National Student’s Day in our country.
At the age of 19, Dr. A.P.J .Abdul kalam  felt the horror of second world war.
Despite the lack of essentials under the circumstances, he had decided to go into aerospace technology and study in engineering. He first reached the Indian Space Research Center (ISRO) in 1962. As project director, he received the credit for making India’s first indigenous satellite (SLV-3) missile.
He designed the indigenous Guided Missile, which led the country to receive indigenous missiles made with Indian technology, testing the Trident in September 1985, Prithvi in ​​February 1988 and Agni in May 1989, and India in 1998 with Russia after testing Agni. Had started work on building supersonic cruise missile and BrahMos Private Limited was established. BrahMos can be launched from anywhere on earth, sky and sea. After this success Kalam got the fame of Missile Man. APJ Abdul Kalam was also awarded the Padma Vibhushan.

APJ Abdul Kalam was elected the 11th President of India on 18 July 2002. He was sworn in as President on 25 July 2002. He had a term till 25 July 2007. He died on 27 July 2015.
